The department will be centre for Pioneering interdisciplinary and comparative Legal researches and for one unique approach towards education, combining professionalism with a personal and friendly ethos. We seek to provide a stimulating and diverse learning environment within which students can pursue their studies in Law. ii. Post-Graduate Degree: Master of Law (LL.M two years). HNB Garhwal University
iii. Graduate Degree: Bachelor of Law (LL.B).

A. Two years experience as Law department with hold as H.O.D in Jagannath Vishwa law college Lal tapper Dehradun.
B. One year experience as Assist. Professor in Law department at Siddhartha Law College Dehradun.
C. Three yrs Experience as with hold as Assist. Controller of Examination at Libra College of law Dehradun.
D.Seven year experience in District court, Revenue court, civil court, Practice in Pauri (Pauri Garhwal) and Dehradun. Work had as Amicus curie in family court Pauri, Pauri Garhwal
E. Adjoined with Uttrakhand Adhinasth Chayan Aayog Denhradun, and as LL.M Guide Uttrakhand Open University Haldwani Uttrakhand.

A. Co-chairmanship at national seminar Libra College of law Dehradun, sponsored by National commission for women New Delhi, Relevant to status of Tribal Women in 21st century.
B. Member as Judge in National Moot Court Competition 2014 at, IMS Dehradun.
c. Participated in celebrating diversity 15th National youth festival 2010, on the behalf of Uttrakhand Government, organized by Orissa government and ministry of youth affairs and sports, government of India.
D. Participated in regional extension awareness, on the behalf directorate of information & extension ministry ,government of India.
E. Experience in N.G.O sector such as: Param, Navankur, Gyanvigyan, regarding different subject and policies matter awareness.

Praveen Kumar Rathi

Head of Department, Associate Professor, Department of Legal Studies,


i. Pursuing Ph.D. in Law
ii. Master of Law (LL.M.), Specialization with ‘Human Rights Law’ from Kakatiya University, Warangal, Telangana and a LL.B. degree from Saurashtra University, Rajkot, Gujarat.

He has 10 years of experience in academics and research. His research areas are on social and environmental issues. Accordingly, in LL.M, his dissertation was on “International Human Rights conventions on women and children and its impact on Indian Human Rights Practices” and in PhD, research work is on “Legal Dimensions of “Conservation of Wild Animals” in India: An Empirical Study with reference to ‘State of Uttarakhand’ ”. He has his publications in national and international journals of repute and presented research papers in national and international seminars.

Hobbies and other achievements:

Reading, participating in social activities and health & fitness. Served the nation as a combat member of the Indian Air Force.
