School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is one of the most prestigious constituent of Himgiri Zee University. The school caters to a large number of students from almost every corner of the country and believes in providing holistic education in the field of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Our students and Faculty are actively involved in Research. All the departments of the school aims to create innovative thinkers and instil technical and managerial skills among graduate and postgraduate students to prepare them to pursue a rewarding career in the field of Agriculture and Allied Sciences. I Prof. (Dr.) Sharad Pandey welcome you on behalf of the School of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, to Himgiri Zee University and acknowledge your interest in our University. India is a agrarian economy and majority of the country’s population depends on agriculture for their livelihood. The agriculture sector contributes roughly 14% of the country’s total GDP. In India, the agriculture sector has the largest number (54.6%) of employees in the country.  The Branch of Agriculture is a never ending branch consisting of comprehensive knowledge of basic and applied sciences with the aim of contributing to human survival and life. In other words, modern agriculture is not only an industry but also a practical study that supports our lives.  It is my pleasure to welcome you to the School of Agriculture. The School is your doorway to educational, research and outreach programs in agriculture. We sincerely hope every student studying here will understand the role and importance of agriculture, and grow into human resources with a broad perspective, professional insight and technique, and a rich human nature that can support our future. At our School, we provide our students with a practical based education that prepares them for careers in a growing job market. There is an increasing demand for graduates with degrees in agriculture and related fields and we are here to meet that demand. We sincerely believe in holistic education and prepare our students in that direction. Industrial and visits to scientific institutions for better understanding of the subject are a regular feature.
