Pharmacy has historic roots as the art and science of preparing and dispensing medications. While this traditional role is still a viable role for pharmacists, the preparation of medicines has transitioned in large part to the pharmaceutical industry. It is a versatile, dynamic and growing profession. Pharmacists are not only the experts on medications but they are also the most accessible member of healthcare system, and often they are the important source of assistance and advice on many common ailments and healthcare matters. After completion of Pharmacy there is a wide range of working in Pharmaceutical industry including – Research and development, Manufacturing, Packaging, Regulatory affair, Quality control, Clinical Pharmacy and Clinical Research.

The School of Pharmacy is a new aspires of Himgiri ZEE University, established in 2019 to train pharmacy professionals for community and industries. We have well-equipped laboratories, rich library and highly qualified & experienced faculty members.

The primary aim of School is imparting quality education & practical skills to young professionals, conclusively contributing effectively to the field of pharmacy education.

Its gives immense pleasure to welcome you in the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Our motive is to train Pharmacists who are well equipped with the comprehensive knowledge, skills and professional attitude and can successfully play their roles in clinical settings and research. Now a day’s Pharmacist is playing an active part at the frontline of medical health worker and we are committed to working harder to meet the expectations from the society and Pharmaceutical Industries. Teaching and Learning is an important part of Academic programmes. We have highly qualified, experienced, motivated and committed faculty members. Apart from the study, we provide the opportunity to the students to take part in the Co-Curricular activities which includes personality development by sharpen their communication skills, expression skills, public speaking, participation and sense of belongingness through different activities like debates and recitation. Prof. Dr Arun Kumar (Principal)

M. Pharm., Ph.D.(Pharmacology)

Prof. (Dr.) Arun Kumar, alumnus of Punjabi University Patiala, is M. Pharm., Ph.D. in Pharmacology. Prof. Arun has more than 16 years of experience in academics and research. He has more than 30 research publications in various National and International Journals of repute, and has presented research articles at various Conference and Seminars of academic interest. His areas of interest include Psychopharmacology, Behavioral Studies, Clinical Community Pharmacy practice and Pharmacovigilance. An expert in Brain stroke model & Ischemia models of experimental Pharmacology. He is also associated as life member in APTI and President, APTI Uttarakhand State Branch.

Alok Bhatt

Assistant Professor

M.Pharm. (Pharmacognosy)

Mr. Alok Bhatt having 5.4 years experience in teaching and research. He has attended more than 21 national and international conferences, seminars and workshop. He has presented many research papers in various conferences. He has published 06 research articles in various national and international journals. His area of research interest is isolation and evaluation of active chemical constituents from medicinal plants. He had guided 10 UG students for their project work/dissertation. He is a life time member of Indian Society of Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs (ISPRA).

Deepika Chandra

Assistant Professor

Mrs. Deepika Chandra having 5 years experience in teaching and research. She has attended more than 05 national and international conferences, seminars and workshop. She has presented many research papers in various conferences. She has published 04 research articles in various national and international journals. Her area of research interest is isolation and evaluation of active chemical constituents from medicinal plants.

Mr. Ashok Kumar

Assistant Professor

Mr. Ashok Kumar, alumni of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Mohali, having 7.4 years of experience in teaching and research. He has published 05 research articles in national and International Journals. He is also having one year experience in clinical research. He has guided to several UG students for pharmacy related projects. He has presented 05 posters & oral presentation in national & international seminars & participated more than 21 national & international seminars/conferences, attended 05 Faculty Development Programme. His area of interest in Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance & Drugs Safety Issues.

Nidhi Chaudhary

Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Department

5.3 years experience in teaching and research.

Research area/ interest:

I have published 03 research and review articles in National and international journals. My areas of interest include Pharmacovigilance, testing on biological specimens such as animals, and clinical research.

I have attended 15 national and international conferences, seminars and workshops, and 02 faculty development programmes.
I had guided 05 UG students for their project work.
My best achievement was being a Gold medalist in M.Pharm (Pharmacology) awarded by Uttarakhand Technical University(UTU) in the fifth convocation.

Dr. Jyoti Maithani Kalra

Dr. Divya Negi Rawat

Pharma D ( Post Baccalaureate ).

Work Experience:

1-year experience as a drug associate, with a demonstrated history of working in hospitals and 1.5 years experience in teaching.

Clinical Research, Pharmacovigilance and drug safety issues.

Presented oral presentation entitled Development and evaluation of nanosized risperidone loaded bio-flexi film of Vigna radiata via soft palatal route of oral cavity.

Presented a poster on “Self-nano emulsifying drug delivery system” in ISFCON-2021 online International conference on “Recent Advances in Pharmaceutical Sciences” Organized by ISF college of pharmacy, sponsored by ISFCON-2021 Moga.
